Silicon Publishing specializes in automating Adobe publishing technologies, with emphasis on FrameMaker and InDesign. Silicon Publishing worked for Adobe to project manage development of the Adobe FrameMaker 7.2 Application Pack for DITA, which was later integrated into the FrameMaker 8.0 DITA support built into the product. Silicon Publishing is currently working with Leximation to produce DITA-FMx, a plug-in for FrameMaker that provides extended DITA support. Silicon Publishing has done extensive work automating InDesign and InDesign Server, which can serve as rendition engines for DITA.
