Multiformat

Multiformat publishing is another way to describe single source publishing. Another similar term is multichannel publishing.

The original source material is assembled into different deliverables for print (PDF), for web (HTML), for mobile devices like PDAs and cellphones, for Online Help, and for specialized publishing channels like Braille printers and VoiceML players.

Multiple channels usually imply multiple formats. In the above examples, print and web are publishing channels, PDF and HTML are document formats.
